1:1 Holistic Sessions

Sessions are an amalgamation of different modalities and co-created alongside you with the overarching intention of re-establishing a regulated and resilient nervous system and deeply embodied spiritual practice.

Our work together largely has a somatic (body-based) focus, with elements of psychotherapy (mind-based techniques), coaching and Yoga practice & philosophy woven throughout.

Who is it for?

Anyone who feels there has been a disruption to their sense of safety in their own body (often through trauma), desires to have greater stability in relationships, and/or is yearning to cultivate a more resilient nervous system and deeply embodied spiritual practice.

Why a somatic approach?

Attachment wounding and trauma (a disruption to our sense of being safe, secure and connected) can create pain, overwhelm and dysregulation that takes us away from feeling safety in our bodies, relationships and the world.

This wounding often manifests subconsciously. Our thinking mind does not always remember the failed bids for connection, but our nervous system does. Using words (talk therapy) can only touch the surface of this disconnection as we simply do not HAVE the words - the body and nervous system speak in sensation, not language.

A somatic approach acknowledges the narrative of our journey to date, but without getting stuck on the merry-go-round of talk-based approaches. Instead, we look to develop and practice strategies that guide us back into the wisdom of the body and regulation of the nervous system.

What's involved?
Sessions are face-to-face (Twine Yoga Studio, Adamstown, NSW) or online (Google Meet).

Our initial session together (90min) is an opportunity to explore your narrative to date. Thus this will be a largely talk-based session and allows us to co-create a plan for developing the tools and strategies for your journey.

Follow-up sessions (60min) reflect on the application of tools and strategies in everyday life, and support the processing and integration of wounding and disconnection from self through guided exercises, breath, visualisation and/or movement.

Generally, follow-up sessions will be 2-4weeks apart, and depending on your individual goals and process, we may work together for only 1-2 sessions or more long-term as I walk with you through different seasons of life.
