I’m Jess.

I am the founder of Moving Minds Collective. I'm an avid Yogi, wife and mama.

Nervous System Regulation and Spiritual Practice are symbiotic. It is my dharma, my calling, to hold a safe, supportive space for you to shift your energy, address limiting beliefs and move through the layers of humanness to come back to your pure, expansive and peaceful state - your innermost nature, the very essence of your being.

I began experiencing the power of breath and embodied movement from a young age - having been taught by my mother at eight years of age to meditate by candlelight and 'stretch' before bed. In my teenage years I started cultivating a physical yoga practice and was hooked - so it began.

Fifteen years on, after dabbling in different styles and lineages of Yoga, I continue to find solace, connection and awareness through a strong Vinyasa Flow practice. Patanjali's Yoga Sutras are my guiding principles for life and, along with Buddhist and Hindu philosophy, are reflected in all of my personal and professional interactions.

I bring to Moving Minds my background in mental health Occupational Therapy (providing behavioural, lifestyle and psychotherapeutic interventions for complex and chronic trauma and mental ill-health in mainstream clinical mental health services), Yoga teachings and philosophy (including Trauma-Sensitive Yoga), and Somatic Attachment Therapy.
